# Aerobic Batch Experiment Setup

Hi!

Has anyone grown aerobic organisms in eVOLVER in batch (no pumps, no feed lines)? If so, were you able to get good O2 transfer into the media? What caps/septa did you use? How about stir rate and media volume v. head space?

We are interested in simply getting batch growth curves, but are ending up with O2 limited growth. If we increase head space for more O2, then the stir rate has to decrease in order to get good OD readings.
