Hello,
I am based in Germany where the power supply voltage is 230V. Can I use the vial Platform and the fluidic box directly with this power supply or do I need a voltage converter?
Thank you
The input voltage is listed as 85 VAC to 264 VAC, 120 VDC to 370 VDC (see data sheet below), so it should be fine.
Best,
Brandon
Thank you very much!
Hi there, I’m setting up an eVOLVER for the first time (Belgium) and the power supply chord is also my first issue. Did you just buy a ‘travel adaptor’ then? Something like this: Reisstekker | Amerika naar Europa (Geaard, Type B → F)
You had no issues with plugging in into the 230V network?
My suggestion is to buy power supply cords for the Vial platform and the pump array from Belgium as some parts of the american power cords are quality tested only for lower voltage (check what is writen on the ends of the cords), at least that is how it was in my case. If you buy power cords, then you don’t need adaptors.
The eVOLVER works fine with the 230V network.
Just to be sure: below the power inlet on the vial platform it says ~115VA/60Hz F5A (we bought the machine last month). You bought it in 2022: does it also ONLY mention these numbers on your earlier eVOLVER type? If I understand correctly there is already a transformer inside the vial platform (the thing from Mouser that Brandon mentioned? HRP-300-12 MEANWELL).
I just did a tour in the offices and found 2 power chords from old PC monitors: it says 10A, ~250V on the end of the cable.
I just want to be 100% sure I don’t fry the machine. Electricity, electronics and IT stuff/coding are way outside of my comfort zone, so the learning curve is very steep for me…
Yes, on our eVOLVER there were also only those numbers mentioned. As long as fynchbio didn’t change the parts that they are using, it sould be fine. You can also take a look inside the vial platform, on the power supply piece, it is usually stated which range of input voltage is suitable.
Thanks for the feedback! The power chords work fine.
